Over 500 early-career communications and PR professionals from across 15 African countries will gather onsite in Lagos and virtually via YouTube for the inaugural Comms Mentorship Conference.
Scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 26, 2025, the event will feature live mentorship, insight-sharing, and strategic career support from over 10 top industry experts.
Organisation says the event is coming after mentoring hundreds of young African communications professionals behind the scenes through intentional, high-impact cohorts, the Comms Mentorship Conference is stepping onto the public stage with its first-ever hybrid conference.
“Mentorship shouldn’t be a privilege, it should be a pathway to professional growth and career success,” said Adedoyin Jaiyesimi, Chartered PR Practitioner, Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP), and Pioneer of the Comms Mentorship Conference.
“After years of supporting the professional development of young communicators across Africa, this conference is our way of building on that momentum to remove the barriers of access, build the confidence of young professionals, and champion the future of communications leadership in Africa,” she said.
Jaiyesimi noted that, the conference was born from the need to guide many young professionals in Africa’s communications industry with potentials but lack access to guidance, opportunities, and the real-world knowledge that unlocks strategic professional success.
“Through the conference, we want to prepare young African communicators to attain crosscontinental and global relevance,” she observed.
She listed live mentorship panels, reflective career sessions, cross-boarder Networking and book launch as some of the highlights of the Comms Mentorship Conference.
